For 300 years the naturally sweet whites produced here – called Aszú – were among the most expensive and most sought-after wines on the planet. Tokaji Aszú fan club included Louis XIV, Queen Victoria, Goethe, Haydn, Beethoven just to name some of the most well-known lovers of this wine. Why the international fame?
